Design is evident in most aspects of our lives, to the magazines and books we read, the websites we visit, the things we put in our homes, to our neighbor’s landscaping. Design is often only considered a commercial or advertising communication, but more and more the lines between art and design are blurred. Aside from the commercial aspect design is a unique tool of communication, often with it’s own continuously evolving language and fast-changing aesthetics.

Design as Art is an exhibition of artists whose work in some ways have been influenced and charged by the use of design. This exhibition explores the use of design, not in it’s commercial endeavors, but within the context of artwork.
